Amber Early American Pattern Glass Salt Shaker in the Sawtooth, Bulbous pattern. circa 1880-1890. Maker unknown.
This shaker is 2 inches tall. It is in overall good condition. The rim of the shaker is very rough where it was broken off the pontil rod. This is common to these early blown shakers. The rim was left unpolished because the lid would cover the area. This one, however, is a little rougher than usual, but still covered by the lid. The lid to this shaker does have some age-related cracks, dents and very mild oxidation.
