EAPG Jacob's Ladder (Maltese) Tall Covered Compote
Dazzling Early American Pattern Glass covered compote in the Jacobs Ladder pattern by Bryce c. 1876. Also known as Maltese. This highly popular and recognizable pattern was patented by John Bryce in June 1876.
This antique comport is 7 1/2 inches wide and 11 1/4 inches tall to the top of the cross finial.
Wonderful condition for a 130+ year old piece of glass. The base is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a small pot stone embedded in the glass. It does not break through on either side of the glass. The lid has one small nick on the rim where it sits on top of the base. The finial has some small chips and roughness to the right and left side of the top part of the cross. More photos available upon request.
