Description

Opaque glass salt shaker from Mt Washington Glass. Shown in Glass Salt and Pepper Shakers of the 19th and 20th Centuries by Richard Davis as Bulb, Footed.

This shaker is 2 3/8 inches tall without the lid in place.  It has a hint of a light blue wash on the shoulders and a band of hand painted leaves and stems in green and flowers in pink orange and yellow.

This antique Victorian shaker is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is some roughness around the rim.  This is normal for blown glass shakers of this era.  The rims were left unpolished when they were broken off the pontil rod because they would be concealed under the lid. The decoration appears to be in good shape with no loss. The lid appears to be original to the piece and fits securely.

The lid appears to be original to the piece and has oxidation, but still fits securely.
